Therapeutic Art for Health and Wellness
The process of making art is healing and therapeutic in many ways. During this group we will use the art making process to engage our minds, bodies and spirits in ways that increase our sense of mental, emotion and physical health and wellness. Through our work we can learn different coping strategies, develop empathy for ourselves and others, challenge our current thinking patterns, and develop stronger problem solving and creative thinking skills. The therapeutic art making process has been known to help relieve some feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress; and increase our sense of self-confidence, self-worth, concentration, community and connection.
