Living with Chronic Pain, Illness & Disability Virtual Peer Support Group
Welcome to Your Community
This group is run by Jessica every other Tuesday at 6:45pm ET and by Laura one Sunday a month at 7pm ET
This support group is designed for individuals living with chronic illness, disability, and long-term health conditions to connect and share experiences. Participants will explore topics like coping strategies, self-advocacy, and emotional well-being in a compassionate, judgment-free environment. Led by a trained facilitator, the group aims to provide encouragement, validation, and practical skills to enhance quality of life, fostering a community of strength, hope, and resilience. This group is a space where you can be seen and heard, including the struggles you face, as well as your resilience, your experiences, and the unique perspective you bring. Together, we’ll explore ways to manage stress, cope with the emotional ups and downs, and build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling, even in the face of ongoing health challenges. Whether through sharing experiences, learning new tools, or simply finding comfort in knowing you’re not alone, this group is here to support you.

About the Moderators:

Jessica Salim jessica@pwcollective.org
Jessica is passionate about creating a supportive space for those living with chronic pain, chronic illness, disability, and long-term health conditions. She knows from personal experience, and from her work and education as a counselor, that these experiences impact more than just the body. Bodies, emotions, relationships, and daily life are impacted by these conditions in ways that others may not always see, understand or believe. Her goal is to provide a warm and welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—not just in navigating health challenges, but as a whole person with a full and meaningful life beyond them. She believes in taking things one step at a time and finding what works for you. Through this group, she hopes to foster a sense of connection, encouragement, and empowerment, where you can learn from one another and build resilience together. No matter where you are in your journey, you are welcome here.
