Thrivers and Survivors

This group is run every Wednesday at 6pm ET by Elena and every Thursday at Noon ET by Dasha

This group is a space for cancer survivors, those recently diagnosed, as well as those going through treatment, to come together and talk honestly about what that's actually like. This is a space to be heard, connect with others who get it, and to find that you are not alone in what you’re carrying.

Dasha is a certified mindset and life coach, group facilitator, and peer support mentor based in Ontario. She is also completing a diploma in psychosexual and relationship therapy (UK). Her work is rooted in a belief she has lived herself: that survival, as powerful and necessary as it is, is a starting point, not a destination.

She has earned what she calls her "black belts in resilience", lived through the kind of losses and upheavals that strip away everything familiar, and leave you wondering who you even are on the other side. She knows what it feels like to be dismantled, as well as what it takes to come back — more honest, grounded, and fully alive.

That is the space she holds for others: not just to survive what happened, but to find out who you are becoming because of it.

Elena Hatzakos is a multi-state licensed clinician and a certified life coach who merged the two practices in order to help you improve your overall quality of life. She is also a SIFI Educator, helping other clinicians obtain their necessary clinical hours in order to advance in the mental health field. Elena is a trauma-informed provider who is also the MBC Council Board Leader at ABCD.org. Her specialties include trauma, oncology, CBT, DBT, Exposure Therapy, eating disorders, depression, anxiety and other modalities, which can help guide you to goal achievement. And most importantly, Elena is a mom to two boys and absolutely loves what she does.
