The Parent Reset Hour
Welcome
Athena runs this group every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET
The Parent Reset Hour is a welcoming, judgment-free peer support group for parents and caregivers of all kinds to share their experiences, connect with others, and find encouragement through the many stages of parenting.
Whether you're navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, anxiety, depression, parenting stress, relationship changes, family responsibilities, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of raising children, this group offers a compassionate space where you can speak openly and feel understood.
We welcome mothers, fathers, single parents, adoptive and foster parents, expecting parents, and caregivers from all backgrounds and family structures.
Through honest conversations, shared experiences, and mutual support, participants can explore the joys and difficulties of parenthood without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.
You don't need a mental health diagnosis or a particular challenge to participate. Whether you're raising a newborn, navigating the teenage years, parenting adult children, or simply looking to connect with others who understand, you belong here.
Because no parent should have to navigate the journey alone.
This is a peer-led support group, not a substitute for professional therapy or medical care.
About the Moderator:
Athena Harris athenaharris13@gmail.com
Athena is passionate about supporting parents and families and creating welcoming spaces where people feel heard, understood, and less alone.
Having grown up in a single-parent household and coming from a mixed Black and White background, Athena appreciates the unique experiences, challenges, and strengths that every family and parent brings to their journey. She also brings over a decade of experience in social services, family support, parenting programs, and mental health. Her education includes an Honours Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, a Social Service Worker diploma, and her current Master of Social Work studies. She is especially passionate about parenting and maternal mental health. Outside of her work and studies, Athena is a HUGE Disney fan. She loves theatrics, movies, and, of course, discovering delicious foods. She's a big believer in finding joy in the little things, having a good laugh, and making meaningful memories.
Athena is also excited to bring parents together to connect, share their stories, and discover that they aren't alone in what they're experiencing. She hopes to create a warm, welcoming space where parents can have honest conversations, exchange experiences, celebrate the little victories, laugh together, and talk about the harder days without fear of judgment. Whether navigating the early years of parenting, raising little ones, or experiencing the emotional ups and downs of parenthood, everyone deserves a place where they feel understood and supported. You don't have to be the perfect parent.
Athena's belief is whether you feel like opening up, listening to others, asking questions, or simply taking a moment to connect with people who understand; that you're welcome just as you are.
