This group is run one Sunday a month at 4:15pm ET with Spencer
Living with diabetes can sometimes feel overwhelming, frustrating, or isolating — but you don’t have to manage it alone. Diabetes Together is a welcoming peer support group for people living with diabetes to connect with others who understand the everyday challenges that come with it. Share experiences, talk openly about the ups and downs, exchange encouragement, and learn from one another in a supportive, judgment-free space. Whether you’ve been living with diabetes for years or are newly diagnosed, you’re welcome here. Come as you are. Share what you’re comfortable sharing. We’re in this together.
Those with Diabetes 16+ can attend on their own, and those 16 and under can attend, but with family members 16+.
About the Moderator:

Spencer is a long-time spiritual seeker and Inclusive Education Manager in Kelowna, British Columbia. His work is centered around supporting the whole person and helping diverse learners find meaningful ways to engage, learn, and thrive. With a background in education, counselling, and community-based social services, he has worked with children, youth, and adults in a variety of settings across British Columbia and Ontario. Over the years, Spencer has had the opportunity to work alongside communities in both rural and urban settings, including remote Indigenous communities and supportive housing programs. These experiences have shaped his belief in the importance of meeting people where they are, building genuine relationships, and creating spaces where people feel seen and supported. He also brings experience developing person-centered programs that make support more accessible to those who might otherwise struggle to find it. Outside of work, Spencer enjoys healthy living, locally grown and home-cooked food, arts and culture, poetry, and spending time in community. He is a curious person who enjoys exploring ideas, finding meaning in everyday life, and probably making more terrible Dad jokes than anyone asked for. Where do babies go after a peek-a-boo accident?
